Satchel Jones and I met on one of my first nights in New York. We began playing and collaborating almost immediately, rehearsing in our apartments and playing the trains, parks, and clubs.
The Blackbird Pie Sessions were recorded 2007 - 2008 between our Brooklyn apartments. Overdubs and mixing took place in Seattle, August of 2008. The CDs were a limited edition, handmade and numbered with album art by Lindsey Reeves (who also played drums).
