Spending the middle part of the “aughties” in Brooklyn, NY, Garth and Satchel Jones released The Blackbird Pie Sessions, Vol. 1 in late 2008. A collaborative effort recorded in their respective Brooklyn apartments on four-track with whomever and whatever was around, The Blackbird Pie Sessions explore their own vision of American music and culture through haunting original songs and slices from the American canon. Garth and Satchel are currently working on a second installment of their transcontinental collaboration.
